Are there different versions for the Chronicles of Narnia books?

I noticed that both in the BBC and Disney/ Walden Media's (and I think the animated movie from the Bill Melendez Productions) editions of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe have Edmund stabbed in the stomach with her broken wand. If this is relevant, is there a different version that talks about that part? I have the Scholastic edition, and it doesn't say anything about that part.
